Fly Fishing Legends: Al Troth (1930-2012)
Montana fishing guide and master fly tier Al Troth is best remembered for his Elk-Hair Caddis, which first came to the fly-fishing public’s attention in a 1978 article in Fly Tyer. A rugged, deceptively simple fly it is virtually unsinkable and has become an enduring pattern across North America.
